Born and raised in Dennis Port, Carlyn is grateful and proud to call Dennis her home.
Carlyn began her professional career as a child protective caseworker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before moving to Washington, DC to attend law school. After graduating from American University’s Washington College of Law and School of International Service (JD/MA), Carlyn remained in DC for several years, working at the law firm Bracewell LLP in international syndicated bank lending and corporate transactions before returning home to Dennis after the birth of her daughter Phebe.
Carlyn has a reputation for integrity, diligence, curiosity, being open-minded in searching for solutions, and fostering a team environment to work toward a common goal. Most recently, she has a personal interest in finding ways to make town affairs accessible and understandable to increase citizen participation and diverse viewpoints and ideas.
Carlyn, her husband of 22 years Brian, and Phebe live in Dennis Port. Carlyn has a few different hobbies (cycling, yoga, supporting local farms and businesses); however, the one she enjoys the most is volunteering for her town.
